Sept.
22, 2005 By Jessie Schmac Short cropped shirts are all over the female population at Marietta College. Whether their white, black, wool, cotton, buttoned or bunched, these short shirts are the newest fashion trend to reach Marietta. They are more of an accessory rather than an actual article of clothing. A lot of times these cropped shirts are worn with a tighter tank top beneath or are worn with a satin camisole that flows barely over the hips. Kelly Rucker, a junior, likes to wear them out and around campus. Rucker says, "I like to wear mine so my stomach does show, but I still have some fun with my clothes. You can combine more colors and fashions by wearing them." Junior Jessie Schmac wears them paired with a longer satin cami because "the satin cami paired with the cropped shirt gives curves in all the right places." These cropped shirts popped up all over Hollywood in the spring. Now they are sprouting in women's closets everywhere. |
