Police blotter
September 20
It was reported that a student's wallet was found and returned at 10:00
a.m. The wallet was found along the side of the road in Waterford, Ohio.
The wallet, which was stolen on August 17, 2006, was returned to the
owner, who thought he had lost it. It appears that the wallet was stolen
from a room in the ATO House. The only thing missing was $150 in cash.
September 23
At 3:03 a.m. a female student was transported to the hospital for alcohol
poisoning. She was also cited to the creed for an underage drinking
violation.A female student reported being harassed by a male student
at 9:00 p.m. The male student was advised to discontinue contact with
the complainant or be charged to the creed for a conduct violation.At
10:48 p.m. the Sigma Kappa sorority members reported seeing a suspicious
older male outside their sorority house and the Chi Omega House. Officers
responded to the scene of the incident, but were unable to locate the
male suspect.
September 26
At 10:40 a.m. it was reported that a 2006 Toyota RAV4 was hit while
parked in the IGA parking lot between 7 and 10 a.m. There is no description
of the hit-skip vehicle.
September 27
Officers responded to a call at 12:56 a.m. The call was placed due to
an intoxicated student acting out of control on the second floor of
the ATO House. The student was arrested and taken to the County Jail
for two counts of assaulting a police officer, Underage Consumption
of Alcohol, Disorderly Conduct Intox, and resisting arrest.An intoxicated
woman was found in the trees at 7th and Pike Street at 3:23 p.m. The
woman requested a Squad transport her to the hospital because she felt
sick. She was transported by the Marietta Fire Department.
October 2
A woman reported having between $70 and $80 stolen from her room in
Dorothy Webster Hall. The incident occurred sometime between 8 a.m.
on Thursday, September 28th, and 4 p.m. on Friday, September 29th. The
case is currently under investigation.
October 3
A female student claims to have laid her keys down on top of a trash
container in the women's restroom of the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center.
She reports that when she came out of the bathroom her keys were gone.
Case is currently under investigation.
