Marilee M. Morrow
Assistant Professor
News/Sports Director

Marilee M. Morrow is an Assistant Professor and News and Sports Director for the Department of Mass Media. Originally from New Castle, Pennsylvania, she has lived in Ohio since 1987.

Morrow goes over a script with a student shortly before going on the air.

Over her career, Morrow has served in a variety of on and off-air roles: award-winning senior producer, free-lance writer and producer for an Associated Press Best Documentary Award, talk show producer and announcer, supervisor of studio production for NFL radio broadcasts, and continuity and production director of major market radio and television stations in Ohio and West Virginia. Morrow also owns Morton Media and Marketing, a broadcast-consulting agency.

Her classification as a Human Communication and Media/Technical Communications Specialist stems from her professional experience, her Masters Degree in Corporate and Organizational Communication from West Virginia University, and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Telecommunications from Ohio University.

Before joining the Mass Media Department full-time, Morrow served as an Adjunct Instructor. In addition to her News and Sports Director duties, she teaches Mass Media and Society, Writing for Media, Introduction to Broadcasting, Audio Production, Television Production, Advanced Video Production, Documentary Production, Media Announcing and Performance, Intro to Public Relations, and Corporate Communications.

When she's not in the McKinney Media Center, Morrow and her husband, Will Hampton, keep busy raising their three children.
