Family Weekend 1997 set for April 11-12

Family Weekend 1997 will take place April 11-12, the weekend of the Marietta Invitational Regatta. Events for the whole family are planned. On Saturday the 11th, the team will host a family dinner at the Eco House, beginnign at 6:30 p.m. There will be door prizes, team introductions, and a viewing of team videos. Everyone is encouraged to attend this gathering of the MC Crew family. There is a $7.00 per person donation for this event.

On Sunday the 12th, a boat christening ceremony for the five new shells will take place at the Lindamood-VanVoohis Boathouse at 9 a.m. The Marietta Invitational Regatta will begin at 11 a.m. Schools competing in this year's races are the University of Cincinnati, the University of Charleston, the University of Pittsburgh, and Ohio University. There will be racing in Varsity, Juior Varsity, and Freshman competition.

Family Weekend has been a lot of fun in the past and promises to be great again this year. Make plans now to come to Marietta April 11th and 12th to meet your favorite oarsperson's teammates and coaches.
