Bachelor of Arts in Music (B.A.)
The B.A. program is designed to develop well-rounded musical leaders while
simultaneously allowing each student to pursue in-depth study in areas
such as performance, composition, or historical research. After completing
a core of required courses, students may elect to pursue an elective program
that prepares them for all aspects of the music profession or for continued
study at the graduate level. The program is easily combinable with other
majors and minors.
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre (B.F.A.)
The B.F.A. is an interdisciplinary program sponsored by the Department
of Music and the Department of Theatre. By providing sequences of study
in all aspects of stagecraft, music and dance, the program is designed
to produce graduates with knowledge of all of the diverse aspects that
come together in a musical production.

Recital Requirement a 30-minute recital
is required of all music major.
Piano Proficiency Each student is required to pass a piano proficiency
exam after the completion of their 3 semesters of Keyboard Skills. Students
with incomplete exams will be required to enroll in Applied Piano each
semester until the completion of the exam. The proficiency exam must be
passed in full prior to formal admittance into the degree program.
