Requirements for a minor in Music
- 8 Hours in Music Theory
- 3 hours in Music History selected from the following
- 2 hours of Conducting
- 4 hours of Ensemble participation
- 4 hours of applied instruction
- Three hours of elective study
Elective study may be drawn from any course offered in music (excluding MUSC 101, 110 & 150) for which the student fulfills prerequisite requirements. Additional applied study or ensemble participation may also be used as elective credits.requirement
Requirements for a Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy
Students completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in music or music education may apply to pursue the certificate.
- Completion of an application and audition
- 14 hours in music
- 6 hours of Applied Study.
It is strongly advised that applied study be taken over six consecutive semesters. - One Semester of teaching in the Community Music Program
- Completion of a BA in Music or BA in Music Education.
