Gas production will be indicated by a significant accumulation of gas in the Durham tube.  If only a single tiny bubble is present, especially after several days of incubation, this should be interpreted as no gas.  Look carefully at tubes that show no fermentation; if the medium shows no turbidity at all, then no growth of the bacteria occurred, and the results showed be so recorded.
