Spirillum volutans

Spirilla are bacteria with a short helical cell shape.  Cells of many species are very small and only can be readily observed by using of dark field microscopy.  Spirillum volutans has relatively large cells; this image was taken under the high-dry lens. What type of flagellation do these cells possess?
