Marietta College does not offer a degree in Musical Theatre.
For students interested in musical theatre, the liberal arts environment of Marietta College provides a unique opportunity for them to continue to develop their skills. All co-curricular activities in music and theatre are open to all students, and students who meet prerequisite requirements may enroll in any course in the Music Department or the Theatre Department.
Because of the importance of singing and dance as ancillary skills for actors, students pursuing the theatre BFA (75 hours) may, with the approval of the chair of Theatre, count as many as 15 hours of coursework in music and/or dance toward the electives required for the Theatre BFA major. Students pursuing the Theatre (40 hours) or Music (60 hours) BA may elect a wide range of courses in their non-major department.
