Following Pioneer athletics is now easier than ever before. There are a series of options available at http://pioneers.marietta.edu that will enhance your experience with Marietta College Athletics. Marietta College is partnering with Sidearm Sports to keep Pioneer fans up to date on all of the activity within the athletics department. Here’s how you can follow the Pioneers:

  1. Newsletters:
    One of the features of the site is that it allows fans to select the sports that they would like to follow via a Newsletter application. Fans still have the option to receive news from all 18 of our varsity sports, but most of you may prefer just to stay connected with a few and not all. It is very easy to sign up for this free service. As the news of the day gets sent out each evening, you will receive an e-mail if any of your chosen sports made the news that particular day.
  2. RSS Feeds:
    Another free offering on the site is the ability to sign up for a Really Simple Syndication (RSS) Feed. Again, you can select which sport(s) you would like to follow via RSS. For more information, please visit http://pioneers.marietta.edu/rss_feeds.aspx
  3. SMS Alerts:
    Marietta is proud to offer fans the ability to get score updates via text messages. You can sign up to receive scores on your cell phone for as many sports as you’d like to follow. If you have not already done so, visit http://pioneers.marietta.edu/member/sms_signup.aspx and fill out the simple form to sign up today.
  4. Live Statistics

  5. Live Audio
    Pioneer fans can listen online to select contests thanks to its partnership with two broadcast outlets. WMOA-AM 1490, a local commercial station, covers a variety of sports throughout the year. Its broadcasts can be heard at http://wmoa1490.com. Also WMRT-FM 88.3, the College’s student station broadcasts select sporting events throughout the year. A link to those events will be posted on http://pioneers.marietta.edu.
  6. Live video
    Pioneer fans can watch live video of select athletic contests at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/marietta-college-athletics. Live video has been provided for football, volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball games. We are currently working to improve the quality of these broadcasts and expand them to cover more events.
  7. Photo Galleries:
    Action shots all 18 teams are available in the Marietta College Photo Galleries located at http://pioneers.marietta.edu/photo_gallery.aspx. Photos are available for purchase with the proceeds helping defray the cost of maintaining the athletic website.
