Back in 1974, Glenn Mello decided MC needed a way to celebrate the arrival of spring. Thus was born Doo Dah Day. The purpose, a "day to give the students a chance to blow off some steam before finals."

The first Doo Dah Day included a myriad of events such as a demonstration of bow tying with the president, a hayride, music, beer and pie eating. Later years introduced new hallmark events such as mud volleyball and sumo wrestling as well.

Glenn Mello said "Doo Dah will be everywhere, in the streets, in the trees, on the buildings, in the sky,"

Let’s keep with Mello’s original plans and celebrate Doo Dah Everywhere.

Just because you are no longer a student at MC doesn't mean you can't join in on the fun and have your own Doo Dah Day where ever you are. Below is a list of pre-planned Doo Dah Day events throughout the country. We hope you can register and attend one of these. Or if you want to start your own, get your friends and family together and let us know. Each group will have an updated registration link and will be sent a swag bag of MC DOO DAH goodies!

Not only can you get these awesome swag items you can order your very own Doo Dah Day T-shirt.  Visit https://mariettabookstore.ignitecx.com/doodahday18 to order and have them shipped right to your house. Order by April 7th to guarantee you'll have it by Doo Dah Day!
