Advancement member looks forward to new role

A familiar face at Marietta College is settling into a new role in the Office of Advancement.

Kelli Lewis has been selected to serve as the Associate Director of Advancement and Stewardship. She previously was an Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement in charge of mailings.

“Kelli will work with major and planned gift officers on mailings and other communications,” says Vice President for Advancement Angela Anderson. “A major area of focus for this position is working with various campus partners on endowment reporting.”

Lewis, who earned a graduate degree in journalism and mass communications, and an undergraduate degree in family and consumer sciences from Marshall University, began working for Marietta College in September 2016.

“We are thrilled that Kelli will continue to put her journalism degree to work for the improved stewardship and development of our donors and prospects,” Anderson says.

Lewis will continue assisting the Alumni Engagement Office with mailings and communications related to The Marietta Fund.

“I will also manage a portfolio of donors and prospective donors,” Lewis says. “The biggest part of my new role is stewarding our donors and alumni. I’m so excited to continue building and nurturing those relationships. I want to ensure that the experience they have with Marietta College is second to none, which will lead to long-term engagement and investment.”

The key to accomplishing those goals, she says, is through consistent and meaningful communication.

“Donors do so much for us, so I’ll work to make sure they’re acknowledged and recognized as well as make sure that they see the outcomes that are possible because of their generosity,” Lewis says. “We want to show them how much they are appreciated, and develop strong, lasting relationships.”

Lewis’ office will be located in Irvine Hall. She may be reached at or (740) 376-4449.
