Tickets go on sale for Harlem Globetrotters game at Marietta College
Tickets for The Harlem Globetrotters, who have thrilled audiences around the world for more than 80 years, are now available for the team’s game at Marietta College’s Fenton Court on Jan. 26.
Ticket sales began Friday, Oct. 23. Ticket prices are $22 for general public and $19 for Marietta College staff, faculty and students. A Marietta College ID must be presented at time of purchase with a limit of four tickets per ID to get the special price. Tickets are available at the Cashier’s Office in the Irvine Administration Building from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Cash and check only.
Tickets are also available at Peoples News (Marietta, Belpre, Parkersburg) and at www.ticketweb.com.
Doors will open at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 26, and the game begins at 7 p.m.
Founded in 1926 by Abe Saperstein, the Harlem Globetrotters played their first-ever road game on Jan. 7, 1927, in Hinckley, Ill. From the 1920s until his death in 1966, Saperstein made the Globetrotters into a championship team and global icons. The Globetrotters have become the world’s home team, synonymous with family entertainment and great basketball skills.
The Globetrotters have played more than 25,000 games, entertaining everyone from Presidents to Popes.
