Allyship Training

​Explore with others what it means to be an ally during a special workshop that will specifically focus on the support people who are LGBTQ+ need from allies and advocates 7:00-9:30 p.m., Monday, November 7th, at The Gathering Place. The allyship training will be conducted by Mickey Hart, who is a diversity education trainer and has conducted several workshops at Marietta College over the years. He serves as the Director of the UCM Center for Spiritual Growth & Social Justice in Athens, Ohio. Mickey oversaw Ohio University’s LGBT Center for 12 years. He is a founder of Equality Ohio, the statewide LGBTQ+ rights organization. This event is being co-sponsored by the Office of Diversity & Inclusion and the Athletic Department.
