​The Career Center is pleased to welcome Tyler Bates ’13 as a guest for the Connected, Long Blue Line Speaker Series at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 22nd. Tyler earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at Marietta and went on to earn a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. Tyler is currently a teacher and coach at Loudonville High School. He serves on two state education committees for the Ohio Department of Education and is the only high school coach in the U.S. to be named to the prestigious Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, WBCA 30 under 30 list in 2019.

While at Marietta, Tyler received the Chi Omega Alice Mead Prize, was a student assistant coach for the women's basketball program, Director of St. Baldrick’s Event for Cancer Research and was involved in various other programs on campus.
