The Upper Ohio Valley Section of the American Chemical Society is hosting a talk at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 2nd, in Rickey 148. The speaker, Dr. Brad Bond, will be presenting a talk titled "Insect Chemistry: Protection, Reproduction, and Pollination."

Brief Abstract: Insects communicate with each other and their environment through chemistry. They gain protection with venoms and toxins, attract mates with pheromones, and repel predators with scents and bad taste. Dr. Bond has been photographing live insects for years, and will illustrate the talk with examples.
