Are you currently a member of a nonprofit board? Or are you interested in becoming a board member?

Join us as during Community Wide Board Training at Marietta College we explore what nonprofit boards are, the benefits of being a board member, the Ten Roles & Responsibilities of Boards, the Three Legal Responsibilities of Board Members, and what board members should know about their nonprofit organization from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Saturday, March 25th. Training will be held at the McDonough Center.

Roundtable discussions will provide time for board members and potential board members to talk about what challenges exist, what successes are happening, and new ideas for board meetings and membership. The cost of the training is $20 per person. Participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the training through the McDonough Center for Leadership and Business at Marietta College. The training will be offered at two different locations on two different dates — the other training is on April 1st at Ohio Valley University in Vienna, West Virginia. These trainings are identical. There is no need to take both.
