Marietta College welcomes delfin w. bautista to campus to speak about "Queering" and "Queerying" inclusive language at 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 15th, at The Gathering Place. They are speaking as part of Hispanic Heritage Month and LGBT History Month at Marietta. delfin is a native of Miami, Florida, and is of Cuban and Salvadoran heritage. They previously served as Director of the LGBT Center at Ohio University until 2019. delfin is currently discerning the next ministerial adventure and in the meantime dedicates time to writing, public speaking, cooking, various advocacy initiatives, eating, writing some more and photography. This presentation will explore how the words we use matter and the transformative impact of language solidarity.
