Have you considered playing video games competitively? Do you enjoy playing ranked games, but you prefer to play with more like-minded teammates? Do you want to compete against other schools for a chance to win scholarships and/or other prizes?

If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, then you should consider joining the Marietta College esports program, which currently support teams in:

  • League of Legends
  • Overwatch
  • Rocket League
  • Fortnite
  • Rainbow Six: Siege
  • PUBG

We will also consider additional teams depending on student interest. For instance, we are exploring the possibility of starting a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate team if there is enough interest. All of our teams compete in various tournaments and leagues such as the Great Lakes Esports Conference, Collegiate R6, Collegiate PUBG, College League of Legends, and the Tespa Overwatch Collegiate Championship.

The esports program will have an information meeting at 4:00 p.m., Friday, January 17th, in the esports room at The Gathering Place. They will be going over eligibility requirements, practice times, and upcoming tournaments for the spring semester. Players of all abilities may join any of the teams. Even if you're not interested in competing, there is a place for you in the esports program by helping with recruitment, managing our facility, broadcasting matches on Twitch, or organizing events.
