Marietta College is hosting a Community Planetarium Show of Dawn of the Space Age at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 12th, at the Anderson Hancock Planetarium. The 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 landing on the Moon was celebrated in July 2019. While this was a significant milestone, five more Apollo missions landed on the moon in subsequent years. This is an exciting full-dome video about the history of manned space exploration. Preceding the show will be a live star talk focused on the late fall evening sky and some of the planets that are prominently visible. Dawn of the Space Age was created by Mirage3D, with distribution by Loch Ness Productions. The show is free and open to the public. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
