Marietta College's Department of Music is hosting a recital by Ohio University's Rebecca Rischin on clarinet and the Fisher Piano Duo featuring Dr. Christopher Fisher and Katherine Fisher at 2:00, Saturday, September 14th, in the Alma McDonough Auditorium. They will be performing a variety of music by the composers Brahms, Mirco, Rachmaninoff and Salieri. This recital is free and open to the public. The first-place winner at the 1994 First International Clarinet Competition in Krakow, Poland, Rischin has performed throughout Europe and North and South America to critical acclaim. A graduate of Yale University and Florida State University, Rischin also earned the performance diploma from the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris. The Fisher Piano Duo has been delighting audiences throughout the United States and the United Kingdom with innovative and engaging programming of the piano duet and duo literature since 2004. Recognized for their artistry, the duo was awarded first prize in the 2007 OhioMTA/Graves Piano and Organ Company Duo Piano Competition.
