The Sports Business Association (SBA) is hosting an informational lunch from 12:00-12:50 p.m., Wednesday, August 31st, in Thomas 124. The lunch is open to all students, regardless of year, major, minor, etc.

Last year, our students:

  • Watched a Baltimore Ravens Monday Night Football game from the control booth and toured Camden Yards
  • Worked at a University of Michigan football game, watched part of the game from the field, and met/worked with Michigan staff at women’s soccer and women’s field hockey
  • Spent over a week in South Florida during winter break managing all aspects of ESPN’s Boca Raton Bowl
  • Worked with ESPN staff at the Myrtle Beach Bowl
  • Worked at the Capital One Orange Bowl (semifinal playoff game into the college football national championship), and did confetti (snow) angels on the field when Georgia beat Michigan
  • Shadowed at a University of Pittsburgh men's basketball game
  • Learned from, worked side-by-side with, and worked at the Savannah Bananas for a week during Spring Break. Ya know … the TikTok sensation that has flaming bats, dancing umpires, and the senior citizen dance team.

In year's past, we've also worked with West Virginia University Athletics, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Akron Zips, and more.

Please RSVP at the link here so that we can order enough food and have seats for everyone.
