In 2015, the McDonough Center established a partnership with the James Jay Luce Foundation, a global nonprofit organization, whose mission is "to support young global leadership impacting positive social change and the NGOs that support them, particularly in the fields of the Arts, Education, and Orphan Care." This support includes microgrants and "spotlighting" through social media and the Foundation's Stewardship Report on Connecting Goodness.

The Foundation's founder, Jim Luce, received the Center's Mister Mac Award for Excellence in Leadership in March 2015. During his campus visit, Jim Luce and the McDonough faculty and staff discussed concrete steps to develop the partnership.

Highlighting some of the partnership priorities for the 2015-2016 Academic Year:

  • Editorial support for the Foundation's Stewardship Report.
  • The Luce Leadership Fellowship Program (to learn more about the 2015-2016 Luce Follows, click HERE)
  • Collaboration during the McDonough Leadership Conference
  • Social Entrepreneurship Internships
  • Co-writing articles
  • The Luce-McDonough Leadership Summer Reading List
