Marietta College Admission Office hires two alumni as new counselors

Marietta College alums Ann Foraker '03 and Rachel Heldman '05 were recently hired and began work as admission counselors, according to Marke Vickers, Director of Admission. Foraker and Heldman began their duties on July 1, with the main travel season slated to begin in mid-September.

Marietta College adding Health Science major to fall 2005 curriculum

In an effort to meet the needs of the growing health care industry, Marietta College is adding a new major in the fall -- Health Science -- that will provide students with the necessary background to be stronger candidates for graduate programs or as potential employees. The new major also replaces the former allied health degree.

Marietta Associate Professor named to Peoples Bank Board of Directors

David L. Mead, an Associate Professor of Finance at Marietta College, was recently elected to the Board of Directors for Peoples Bank, a subsidiary of Peoples Bancorp Inc. Peoples' Board of Directors unanimously approved the appointments of Mead and Jeffrey W. Franz, who has more than 20 years of banking and financial experience.
