Biography

Scott McVicar ’87 returned to his alma mater in 2000 to help recruit future Pioneers. Growing up in Marietta, Scott dreamed of attending Marietta College and playing baseball for Hall of Fame coach Don Schaly. He was a member of the 1986 NCAA Division III National Championship team. His favorite place on campus is The Christy Mall because he enjoys seeing the students, especially between classes. Scott is an avid golfer and enjoys reading. His advice to Marietta students: "Embrace this wonderful opportunity that you have earned and your family supports! Get to know your professors, share your passions, be involved, make lifetime friendships, and SMILE. These next four years will dictate the next 60, and Marietta College is very good at preparing you for a lifetime of rewards."
