Alicia L Abramski is a professional counselor and the former coordinator of substance abuse services at the J. Michael Harding Center for Health and Wellness. Her educational background and training from Youngstown State University is specific to the emotional and mental health concerns of college students. Alicia’s clinical interests include substance abuse and co-occurring mental and emotional concerns. Her therapeutic modalities include utilization of solution-focused, person-centered therapy techniques with emphasis on college student development. Her research interests include counselor dispositions, the role of legislation in unifying a national counselor identity, and trends in college student mental health. Other interests include advocacy for marginalized populations, travel, anthropology and classic literature.
