Ms. Wayland has more than 15 years of human resources experience and has worked to elevate the level of service in Marietta College’s department since her arrival. She also serves as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator. Ms. Wayland is an ATIXA Certified Title IX Coordinator and Investigator and has completed advanced training in Coordination. Her areas of responsibility include Human Resources, Auxiliary Services, and Environmental Health and Safety.

Before arriving at Marietta, Ms. Wayland served as the Associate Director for Employment & Recruiting Services in Ohio University’s Office of Human Resources. In this role, she assisted with the development, implementation, and evaluation of the university’s HR policies and procedures related to hiring.

From 2006-09, Ms. Wayland was the Associate Director of Recruitment, Retention and Staff Development in the Office of Information Technology at OU. She has also held HR positions from 2001-05 at OU before going to Holzer Clinic in Gallipolis as the Manager of Human Resources for a year.

Wayland is an active member of CUPA-HR (College and University Professional Association for Human Resources).

Wayland has two children, JT and Jorden.
