Biography

A Florida transplant, Dr. KJ McConnell has several decades of experience working with higher education and community living programs and is excited to help blaze a new trail as a Marietta College Pioneer. KJ most recently served as Director of Residence Life & Leadership at Saint Leo University and is passionate about the benefits of a residential experience and liberal arts education. KJ is an avid traveler and bibliophile (and whose favorite trip to date has been a "Lord of the Rings" tour of New Zealand) and particularly enjoys dystopian films and television series. For "fun" after completing her doctorate, KJ began an additional master of science degree in Critical Incident Management with anticipated degree completion in December 2019. KJ hopes to see both residential and commuter students alike take full advantage of both the academic and co-curricular opportunities Marietta College has to offer.
