Biography

After completing her journalism degree at Marietta College, Laura Stange Regan ’94 had a first career in college athletics for 13 years – earning an internship at Princeton, moving on to Cornell, and eventually becoming assistant commissioner of ECAC Hockey — the largest Division I hockey league in the country.

Currently, she is Vice President of Eastern Contractors Association, Inc. — a trade association of signatory firms engaged in commercial, industrial, and institutional construction throughout upstate New York. Her primary responsibilities for the last 10-plus years involve labor relations, where she helps lead negotiations with nine of the Building Construction Trades Unions and serves as a Trustee on pension, annuity, and welfare fringe benefit funds. She is also a member of P.E.O. International, a women’s organization that provides grants, scholarships, awards, and loans to help women advance through education.

Among her many undergraduate activities at Marietta, she was involved with the Marcolian, WCMO-TV, and served as a student assistant in the sports information office. She was also a member of Alpha Xi Delta, where she was an officer and lived in the house for three years. Most recently, she has been leading the charge to form an alumnae group for the Chapter.

She and her husband, Tom, enjoy traveling and love hosting friends during the summer at the historic Saratoga Thoroughbred Racetrack in their backyard of Saratoga Springs. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, crafting, and reading. The couple also has a 14-year-old Plott Hound, Marley, who is a champion hunter (of snacks) and tracker (of the best spot on the bed each night).
