Biography

Marquia Turner joined Marietta College as an Assistant Coach for women's basketball in 2021. Prior to Marietta, she served as the junior varsity coach, and the varsity assistant coach for St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio. Turner was responsible for developing ball-handling, and shooting mechanics. Turner was also the head coach for the 17U Gold AAU team from Ohio United.  She was responsible for implementing game plans, scouting opponents, and organizing practices to have the team ready to compete at an elite level.  

She is the CEO and founder of KO Elite Training, which she started in 2014.  Turner has trained more than 25 clients from youth to college-aged, with a focus on physical and mental enhancements to allow athletes to perform their best on game day.

Turner was a member of the Xavier women's basketball team for three years.  She was a starting point guard and team captain.  She finished her undergraduate degree at Cleveland State in Communications Management, with a focus on Public Relations. Turner continued her education and playing career at Texas Southern University. She was the starting point guard and team captain. She is completing her master's degree in sport management.
