Dr. Michael Williams holds his Ph.D in Counselor Education from Ohio University. His academic and professional interests include working with adolescents, young adults and families, teaching and supervision, program and curriculum development, multi-cultural and study abroad programs in counselor education, and the use of technology in the profession. He has presented at state, regional, national, and international conferences. Prior to coming to Marietta College to start the CMHC program, Dr. Williams taught at Lynchburg College (now University of Lynchburg). He spent time working in their Counseling program in St. Lucia of the West Indies. He also taught at the University of West Georgia.

Dr. Williams has served on several professional boards and committees. In addition to teaching, he is a licensed professional counselor and an approved Clinical Supervisor.
