Russel Casseday joined Marietta College in 2011 in the Office of Information Technology. He is a 1994 gradaute of Chalker High School in Southington, Ohio. He spent the next three years in the U.S. Navy onboard the USS Constellation stationed in San Diego, California.
After leaving the military, he attended Kent State University and graduated with an associates in business and a bachelor's degree. It was there he met his wife, Sarah, and they were married in 2001. During that same year he started working for MTD Products as a Systems Engineer supporting their Windows server environment. MTD is a global company and manufactures all of the Cub Cadet, Troy-bilt, Yardman and Huskee lawn mowers. In 2007, the Casseday's had their first child, Kaitlyn. Four years later they moved to Lower Salem, his wife's hometown and he started working at Marietta College. In early 2016, the Cassedays welcomed twins, Christopher and Abigail.
