
Suzy Zumwalde grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and graduated from Marietta College in 1989. She moved to New Hampshire after graduation and also lived in Port Lavaca, Texas, for eight years before returning to Ohio to live in Marysville for five years and eventually returned to Marietta in 2010. Following a 29-year career with YMCAs, Suzy went back to school and earned a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is licensed through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist Board as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
Her counseling philosophy is centered around there is not having a one-size-fits-all mentality. As a therapist, she strives to treat each client as a unique individual and to assist in their journey to find healing and growth in a non-judgmental, non-biased, respectful, and genuine manner. Her therapeutic style is a combination of person-center, cognitive behavior therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
She has one daughter, Samantha, who attends the University of Cincinnati.
