Dear Marietta College Community,

I am hopeful that all is going well as we move toward the end of the semester. Before everyone gets too busy preparing for final exams and heading off to other locations for the College’s winter break, I wanted to send along a friendly reminder that the Spring Semester will begin on Thursday, January 10, 2019, and residence halls will reopen Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

This change to our spring schedule will allow the College to honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 21, 2019, with our own Day of Service — details of this event will be shared soon — with multiple opportunities for faculty, staff, students and the community to engage with each other throughout the day.

There will also be some adjustments to days of classes that will allow departments to schedule classes and labs appropriately. Other important aspects of the Spring Semester will remain the same, including the dates for Spring Break (March 10-18), final exams (April 28-May 3) and Commencement (May 5).

Best of luck to everyone as we wrap up the Fall Semester and begin the winter break soon.

Bring Forth a Pioneer!
