I am excited to announce that at their October 2017 meeting, Marietta College’s Board of Trustees approved a fee schedule that maintains the current tuition and fees of $36,040 for the 2018-19 academic year. The Board also approved holding the cost of room and board to the same levels for one more year, which means the total standard cost to attend Marietta will remain $47,360 before applying scholarships and other forms of financial aid.
During their discussions, the Board emphasized the importance of affordability and accessibility to the quality education students receive at Marietta College. We acknowledge the substantial financial investments made by parents and students, and this shows our commitment to help lighten the burden. The College will also budget more than $16 million in financial aid for the next academic year. By allocating these funds to help alleviate some of the challenges that tuition and fees can present, we hope to ensure our ongoing commitment to our students and their future.
