Dear Marietta College family:
It is with great honor and pride that I write to you today to share that Marietta College has been recognized as a “Great College to Work For” by The Chronicle of Higher Education. This is the first time Marietta has been so honored in the 11 years of the recognition.
The Chronicle released the 2018 results today, and our inclusion is a reflection of the amazing commitment and engagement that you see from our gifted faculty and staff. I know you join me in being honored and humbled by this well-deserved recognition. I am confident our amazing employees will continue to make Marietta an outstanding place to work this year and in the years to come.
Marietta College was selected for recognition in three categories: Job Satisfaction, Teaching Environment (Faculty Only) and Tenure Clarity & Process (Faculty Only/4-year Only).
The survey results are based on a two-part assessment process: an institutional audit that captured demographics and workplace policies, and a survey administered to faculty, administrators and professional support staff. The primary factor in deciding whether an institution received recognition was the employee feedback.
I want to thank everyone who participated and provided positive and truthful opinions about what it means to be a Marietta College employee and I look forward to great results in The Chronicle’s “Great Colleges to Work For” for many years to come.
Please join me in celebrating this honor today and we will celebrate even more at the Employee Convocation.
Bring Forth a Pioneer!
