Dear Marietta College Community,
Marietta College recently opened a new parking lot on Fourth Street next to Rea & Associates (132 S. Fourth St.) and near Don Drumm Stadium. While we recognize this lot is not as close to campus as the one you may park in now, we would like to encourage employees to use it as we look to expand our student parking to include upper-class parking in the Hermann lot.
Therefore, Cabinet has decided to make this a special lot with a special offer for faculty and staff only. The first 70 employees who request to park in the new parking lot for the 2020-2021 academic year will receive a $25 in Marietta Bucks.
If you choose to park in the new lot, you will be required to park there from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Outside of those hours, you will be permitted to park anywhere on campus. If you are interested, please email Chief Weaver at jsw003@marietta.edu to make this request. The first 70 requests will be honored and those individuals will stop by the Marietta College Police Department to turn in your current hangtag(s) and receive a different hangtag for that specific lot. MCPD will be issuing temporary permits until the permanent ones arrive on campus. MCPD will also issue your Marietta Bucks at the same time.
Keep in mind that faculty and staff are permitted to park in student spaces at any time, unless of course, you have taken advantage of the new parking lot.
