Dear Marietta College Students,
I think we can all agree that the Fall 2020 Semester has been rewarding, as well as challenging. With classes now complete, I want to take a moment to congratulate each of you for your determination and desire to succeed.
Best of luck with your final exams, and make sure you get plenty of sleep, eat well and study hard.
Normally, Judy and I would have joined students studying at Legacy Library for Cookies & Milk at 8:00 p.m. on the first night of final exams. This year, we have no other choice but to do it COVID-19 style and we will not be there in person — however, there will be pre-packaged cookies and milk available for those who are there from 8:00-9:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 18th.
If you are completing your degree requirements this semester, congratulations on your accomplishment and welcome to The Long Blue Line.
We have experienced many significant accomplishments at Marietta since our first day in August. Generations of Marietta College students have stepped up to make a difference in our community, and I am honored to say you are continuing a proud tradition. Thank You for Bringing Forth a Pioneer.
You are impressive, and I want to tell you that you inspire me each and every day to do my best to represent Marietta College. Some of you will be taking intercession courses, but I encourage everyone to take time to relax and enjoy your time away from campus safely with your family and close friends during the holiday season.
Have a great winter break,
Bill Ruud President and Professor of Management
