Dear Marietta College Community,

It has come to our attention there has been an increase in the number of our students, faculty, and staff parking on the city streets in the neighborhoods surrounding our campus.

We understand the challenges of parking and walking, but please be reminded that we do always have several parking spaces available in our parking lots during the day. While there may be lots that fill up from time to time, there are always spaces available in Marietta Circle, the Physician Assistant Parking Lot, and the new lot on Fourth Street next to Don Drumm Stadium that I encourage you to use prior to parking on city streets.

We would like to remain good neighbors with the surrounding community. As part of being good neighbors, please understand that many of the residents near campus may not have off-street parking at their homes, therefore parking on the city street can negatively impact them and their ability to access their homes when needing to unload groceries, or for individuals who may be confined to crutches, walkers, or wheelchairs.

If you feel unsafe walking from any of our parking lots, please know you can reach out to the Marietta College Police Department at (740) 376-3333, 24 hours a day as they are happy to provide safety escorts for our community.

Thank you very much for your understanding.

Bring Forth a Pioneer!
