Dear Marietta College Community,

Homecoming is always a very special time of year – for students, faculty, staff, and alumni. We look forward to welcoming you on campus for the Marietta College 2021 “Come back Homecoming,” and hope to see you at this year’s All Alumni Welcome for a memorable celebration!

Though we are excited about the opportunity to gather, celebrate, and reminisce, we are also acting with an abundance of caution to ensure everyone has a great experience. We have modified plans for our activities to adhere to recommended health and safety protocols. Some of the modifications include pre-registration and limited attendance for specific events, relocating celebrations to appropriate outside spaces, and creating opportunities for virtual engagement at selected events throughout Homecoming weekend.

We are making every effort to do our part to create a safe and healthy environment. The COVID-19 pandemic is still prevalent in our nation, state, and local community. With that knowledge, we will adjust events, if necessary, sometimes with limited notice.

While you are attending Homecoming, we require that you wear a mask during indoor activities regardless of your vaccination status. The use of masks and vaccinations are known to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Working together, we can help reduce the spread and rate of infection of this deadly disease.

There are thousands of students, faculty and staff who call Marietta College home. Out of respect for them, please follow the recommended guidelines of masking up, regularly washing your hands, getting vaccinated, and tested. The current campus policies can be found on the Marietta College Return to Campus informational website.

Keep in mind that local Marietta businesses and others in the surrounding communities may be hosting non-MC activities during our Homecoming week that may require you to follow specific protocols. If you are planning to attend any of those events, please make sure you are familiar with the requirements in advance.

Homecoming is a time to celebrate what it means to be a Pioneer. With your help, we can do so safely, responsibly, and respectfully for all of our community members. The campus community is looking forward to welcoming you back HOME.
