Dear Marietta College Community,
As we begin to celebrate the holiday season, I want to share one more reason to be excited about the future of Marietta College. Starting this fall, incoming full-time freshman and transfer students will receive a new personal laptop to help support their academic careers at Marietta.
The technology that we will be able to put in the hands of new students for the Fall 2022 semester will help them work on assignments from anywhere and will ensure that our newest Pioneers have devices that are capable of handling the latest computing applications.
This new laptop program is one of the many ways that we, as a campus, are committed to helping our students achieve their academic goals. It will also help our campus recruit and retain talented students in the future.
The program, which is made possible through an anonymous donor, will allow our newest Pioneers to embark on their academic journey at Marietta fully equipped for success.
Please know that I truly believe that you are also a part of causing that success. I am so very thankful for all that you do to help continue the mission of Marietta College — whether it is challenging yourself in the classroom, developing innovative techniques in the classroom, or working behind the scenes to make sure our students and colleagues have the support they need to succeed. You have all earned a restful break after a successful semester, and I hope this news adds to your reasons to celebrate.
