Dear Marietta College Community:
I know you will join me in honoring the men and women who have served in the military today as we celebrate Veterans Day today. The Mid-Ohio Valley will conduct its annual Veterans Day Parade at 10:00 a.m. today and I want to invite any student or employee who served our country in the military to join me as I will walk as a representative of the U.S. Army, as well as Marietta College.
It would be my honor to have all of you join me as we want our community to know the impact Marietta College’s employees and students have made in their service to our great nation.
I will be in line for the parade at 9:45 a.m., and it will start promptly at 10:00 a.m. The parade line up is on Butler and Fourth streets.
Following the parade, I also hope the entire campus community will join me at 11:00 a.m. today for a wreath-laying ceremony outside of the Gilman Student Center as we honor our veterans.
Thank you for your service to our country and I hope you will join me during the parade.
Sincerely,
Bill Ruud
President and Professor of Management
