The Marietta College men's and women's rowing programs are conducting an interest meeting for any student who wants to learn more about competing on the varsity level for the Pioneers in 2022. The interest meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m., Friday, January 14th, at the Lindamood-Van Voorhis Boathouse, 812 Gilman Ave.
Marietta College students who have completed their degree requirements during the fall semester can participate in the annual December Graduation Celebration at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 11th, in the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center.
Doo Dah Day 2022, an all-campus event for students, employees and families, is scheduled for 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, April 22nd, on the Harrison Lawn. There will be plenty of food, games and crafts, as well as music. Among the featured activities during Doo Dah Day are:
Dr. Alexander Wendt, Mershon Professor of International Security and Professor of Political Science at The Ohio State University, will speak about “Dangerous Knowledge? UFO Science and the Last Humans," during the Economic Roundtable of the Ohio Valley lunch at noon, Tuesday, March 22nd, at the Marietta Country Club.
Dr. Casey B. Mulligan, Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago, will be delivering the Milton Friedman Lecture at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 22nd, at the Alma McDonough Auditorium. Mulligan received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago in 1993.
Acoustic guitarist and two-time Grammy Award nominee Leo Kottke will perform at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 1st, at the Peoples Bank Theatre as part of the College's Esbenshade Series. Ticket reservations begin on Monday, April 11th (limit of four).
Velocity Irish Dance, the next generation in Irish tap, will perform at 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 18th, at the Peoples Bank Theatre as part of the College's Esbenshade Series. Ticket reservations begin on February 9th (limit of four).
