Honoring the legacy of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., students and employees at Marietta plan to step away from their classroom and office work to volunteer within the community, as well as learn about what Dr.
Marietta College will be closed on Monday, January 17th, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. However, students and employees are encouraged to participate in one of the service activities organized through the Office of Diversity & Inclusion.

Spending time at the local Boys & Girls Club is a pretty common occurrence for members of Marietta College’s baseball team, so when coach Brian Brewer learned the entire campus was encouraged to participate in the campus’s first Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, he knew exactly where his players would want to be.
Marietta College will be closed on Monday, January 21st, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. However, students and employees are encouraged to participate in one of the service activities organized through the Office of Student Life.
Marietta College will honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., by sponsoring a clothing drive during PioConnect, which takes place in the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center from 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., Monday, January 15th.
