Marietta College is conducting campus service projects on Sunday, January 15th, as part of its Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. There will also be activities scheduled on Monday, January 16th.

Marietta College will be closed on Monday, January 15th, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. However, students and employees are encouraged to participate in one of the service activities organized through the Office of Diversity & Inclusion.
A major snowstorm didn’t deter hundreds of students and employees at Marietta College from participating in a day designed to honor the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Honoring the legacy of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., students and employees at Marietta plan to step away from their classroom and office work to volunteer within the community, as well as learn about what Dr.
Marietta College will be closed on Monday, January 16th, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. However, students and employees are encouraged to participate in one of the service activities organized through the Office of Student Life. Activities begin at 9:30 a.m. and will continue through 2:30 p.m.
Spending time at the local Boys & Girls Club is a pretty common occurrence for members of Marietta College’s baseball team, so when coach Brian Brewer learned the entire campus was encouraged to participate in the campus’s first Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, he knew exactly where his players would want to be.
