Dr. Anil Patnaik, Associate Professor of Physics at the Air Force Institute of Technology, will speak at Marietta College's Physics Colloquium Series at Noon, Friday, March 17th, in Bartlett 166. This event is free and open to the public. The Physics Department will provide pizza and beverages.
Marietta College Physics Professor Dr. Craig Howald will present "Entanglement: From a Problem to a Promise" at Noon, Friday, February 24th, in Bartlett 166 as part of the Physics Colloquium Series. This is a reflection on the work awarded the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics. The Physics Department will provide pizza and beverages.
The Spring 2023 Physics Colloquium Series begins the semester by viewing the planetarium show "The Sun, Our Living Star" at Noon, Friday, February 10th, in the Anderson Hancock Planetarium. This event is free and open to the public. Physics will provide pizza and drinks.

Dr. Eric Stinaff, Professor and Chair of Physics and Astronomy at Ohio University, will be at Marietta College as part of the Fall 2022 Physics Colloquium Series at 12:00 p.m., Friday, November 11th, in Selby 150. He will speak about "Opto-electronic Studies of Atomically Thin Materials." The presentation is free and open to the public.
Dr. Niklas Manz, Associate Professor of Physics at the College of Wooster, will be on campus as part of the Fall 2022 Physics Colloquium at 12:00 p.m., Friday, November 4th, in Selby 150.
Three Marietta College students will be making presentations about their summer internship experiences at 12:00 p.m., Friday, October 7th, in Selby 150. The students making presentations are Lily Daneshmand ’22, Kyle Jacobs ’23, and Nick Haught ’25.
Marietta College's Physics Department is conducting the first Physics Colloquium of the year at 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 23rd, in Selby 150. Astronomers received an amazing gift last December when the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) launched successfully and many of us were awed by the first images released last July.
Marietta College is showing Big Astronomy at noon, Friday, October 8th, in the Anderson Hancock Planetarium.
