Lori Lewis

Ms. Lewis joined Marietta College in July of 2005. She directs all functions related to alumni programs, prospect development, fund raising, college relations and the overall advancement of the institution's mission.
Prior to joining Marietta College, Lewis directed the strategic planning, and implementing and executing the management of the fund raising and alumni relations efforts for the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech – the state's leading engineering college, which consists of a dozen departments with some 300 faculty, 5,500 undergraduate majors and 2,000 graduate students.
Before accepting the position at Marietta College, Lewis raised more than $30 million of a $129 million campaign goal in the first 22 months of the silent phase. In addition she was appointed the lead Director of the fund-raising effort for an $85 million university initiative, the Institute for Critical Technology and Applied Science.
Lewis holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree from Ohio University. Lewis was the Assistant Dean of Development for the Russ College of Engineering & Technology at Ohio University. During her tenure at Russ College she played a role in negotiating the details of the Fritz J. and Dolores H. Russ Prize, one of the top two engineering prizes worldwide. The $5.8 million endowment supports a biennial $500,000 prized awarded by the National Academy of Engineering.
She also worked at Ohio University as the Assistant Dean for Development & Alumni Affairs in the College of Health & Human services. Prior to her fund-raising career Lewis was a classroom teacher and administrator for Athens City and County School Districts and a part-time faculty member at Ohio University's College of Education.

Evan has been involved in higher education fund raising and gift planning since 1995. Evan joined Marietta College as Assistant Vice President for Advancement in July 2007.
Prior to joining Marietta College, Evan has led college-wide and constituent-based development programs at Radford University, Virginia Tech, and Minnesota State University, Mankato. Previously to higher education fund raising, he worked in industry as a quality control manager for Silgan Containers, a Fortune 500 manufacturing firm.
During his time at Radford University, Evan crafted a campaign plan to implement a college-based advancement program and prepare the university for a $100 million comprehensive campaign-double the size of the university's most recent campaign. While at Virginia Tech, Evan reorganized the college's volunteer councils to encourage greater participation and representation from the college's alumni and friends in the $1 billion comprehensive campaign. At Minnesota State, under his direction, the college's historical baseline philanthropic funding jumped from $94,000 annually to more than $500,000 annually.
Evan attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Communication. He is an active member of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning (former National Committee of Planned Giving), Council for Advancement and Support of Education, Mid-Ohio Valley Estate Planning Council, and Northern Ohio (Cleveland) Planned Giving Council.
Evan and his wife, Tonia, have twin sons, Grant and Alex.
Linda Stroh

Ms. Stroh, who has more than 30 years of experience in higher education, is the Director of Advancement Services and Donor Relations at Marietta College. She has been a member of the Advancement Team since July 2006.
Prior to joining Marietta College, she worked at Virginia Tech as the Director of Alumni Relations in the College of Engineering. She was responsible for planning and executing stewardship activities for the College's alumni in coordination with the central Office of Alumni Relations. These activities included acknowledgment and recognition events for scholarship donors and recipients, faculty holding alumni-endowed chairs, and other special events designed to bring alumni to campus or university faculty and staff out to alumni.
From 1979-99, Stroh was a member of the Dean's staff at the Russ College of Engineering and Technology at Ohio University. She coordinated the College's public relations, stewardship, scholarship and special events programs. She also advised prospective undergraduate students.
During her last five years at Ohio University, Stroh served as Director of the Ohio University Airport, administering a $2 million annual budget. Stroh earned a bachelor's degree in organizational communication and a master's degree in interpersonal communication–both from Ohio University in Athens.
Ms. Stroh resides in Marietta, Ohio.

Norris serves as the Director of the Marietta Fund. Her primary role is to conduct fundraising efforts with the Office of Advancement, manage the Marietta Fund professional and student staff and to provide leadership to the Marietta Fund's strategic initiatives addressing donor participation and leadership annual giving.
Norris is no stranger to fundraising in a university setting. She has worked to implement a variety of annual fund raising initiatives at a handful of institutions including Johns Hopkins University, Lipscomb University and Ohio Dominican University. Most recently, Norris served as the program manager within the MASTERS division of RuffaloCODY, a national fundraising services firm based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Angela Anderson

Mrs. Anderson, who has more than 10 years of experience in the academic world and 10 years of experience in corporate human resources, joined Marietta College in July 2007. She works in the major gifts area of Advancement.
Prior to joining Marietta College, Anderson was the assistant dean of career resources and director of corporate leadership fellow program at Ohio University's College of Business. During her time at Ohio, she revived the College of Business Internship Program and increased student participation in the program by more than 400 percent. She also originated the College of Business Internship Fair, hosting between 25 and 45 companies and hundreds of students over the years. In addition to the fair, she coordinated alumni events in various cities, including Columbus, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and New York City.
Anderson also served as an instructor of human resource management and professional communications at Ohio University. She instructed juniors and seniors on relevant human resource topics, such as Equal Employment Opportunity, affirmative action, labor relations and union history.
Anderson earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management and Health Care Management in 1987 and a Master of Business Administration in 1992, both from Ohio University.
Angela and her husband, Jeffrey, reside in Athens, Ohio, with their two children, Reed and Hannah.
Susan Allender

Allender, who has a background with more than 20 years of sales, marketing and management experience, is the Assistant Director of the Marietta Fund, a position she has held since May of 2002.
In that role she works to advance the growth of the Marietta Fund, the College's unrestricted annual giving program. She is primarily responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of programs that encourage support for the Marietta Fund from alumni, parents and students. These programs include the phonathon, direct mail and the Senior Challenge campaign. In 2009 the phonathon operation reached a new milestone, raising more than $275,000 and the Senior Challenge program set new records in both dollars raised and student participation.
Prior to joining Marietta College, Ms. Allender had started two businesses in Athens, Ohio, which she owned and operated simultaneously for more than a decade. Previously, she had been employed by Forma Scientific in Marietta as an inside sales representative.
Susan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Management from Marietta College. She resides in Marietta with her husband, Rocky, and their son, Ryan.
Myra Reich

Ms. Reich, who has worked at Marietta College since 1987, has been the office manager and administrative assistant to the Vice President of Advancement since 1998. She began her career at Marietta as the secretary in the Music Department, and later became the administrative assistant for Academic Grants and Special Events, and in Career Services. She was also the graphic designer and office coordinator for the Institute of Education and Training for Business in the McDonough Center for Leadership and Business.
Ms. Reich resides near Lowell with her husband, Vern. She has two sons, Nathan '04 and Greg '06. She enjoys reading, gardening and traveling with her husband.
Jill Deming

Ms. Deming, who has more than four years of experience in prospect research at Marietta College, rejoined the Advancement staff in January 2004. She initiates research on potential donors to Marietta College.
She worked at Marietta College from 1994-97 as the Director of Research and Information Systems in Advancement. In between her time at MC, Ms. Deming was an office manager for Diversified Components, a machine shop and manufacturer of screw machine products, located in Ashville, N.Y., and as an onsite supervisor for Adecco Employment Services at the Cummins Engine Company onsite location in Lakewood, N.Y.
Ms. Deming is a graduate of both Marietta High School and Washington State Community College. She serves on the board of EVE, Inc. She resides in Marietta with her husband, Jerry, and their two dogs, Izzy and Baxter.
Tara Meagle

Mrs. Meagle, who has previously worked at City Financial, joined Marietta College in August 2008 as an administrative assistant to the Marietta Fund. Prior to joining Marietta College, she was a stay at home mom for four years.
Meagle is a lifelong resident of Marietta and is married to James "Bo" Meagle '96. They have two children, McKenzi and Dillon.
Outside of work, Mrs. Meagle enjoys watching her children play sports, taking family trips and spending time with family.
Jonna Munfield

Ms. Munfield, who worked as a receptionist and internal auditor at a Marietta company for more than two years, joined Marietta College's Advancement Office in August of 2006 as the office assistant/receptionist.
Prior to joining the College, she worked at Par Mar Oil Company from March 2004 until arriving at MC. She also worked as a bookkeeper at Cernus Printing Consultants in Marietta.
Ms. Munfield resides in Marietta, Ohio, with her son who is a student at the college. Her hobby is watching him and the pioneers play football.

Hub Burton

Hub Burton brings more than twenty years of communications, marketing and public relations experience to the Office of Alumni Relations. As an information specialist and assistant news director at the University of Maine and as associate vice president for communications and marketing at Ohio University, he has developed and implemented significant outreach campaigns to alumni, prospective students, the media and community audiences. His programs have included the development of print publications, web sites, radio and television productions, sports networks and broadcasts, media relations and satellite communications.
Prior to entering higher education, Hub pursued a sportscasting career in Arizona, North Carolina and Massachusetts covering everything from the Final Four to the World Series, Super Bowl and Stanley Cup Playoffs. A 1976 graduate of the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in Radio-TV production, Hub completed his master’s in journalism at Ohio University in 2001.
His outside interests include journalism history, his son’s hockey and his daughter’s choir. Hub and his wife, Kelli, reside in Pickerington.
Ann Foraker

Ann Foraker, who has earned two degrees at Marietta College, is the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations at her alma mater.
Foraker focuses her efforts on planning alumni events at the College and around the region, as well as providing support at annual gatherings such as Homecoming and Family Weekend. She also has the responsibility of developing an alumni services program designed to create value added opportunities for MC graduates.
Foraker, who has a broad range of experience, was most recently working in the College's Office of Admission. She managed and recruited prospective students from West Virginia, Indiana and western Pennsylvania during the 2005-06 academic year.
She also gained valuable experience as the Parkersburg News & Sentinel Half Marathon coordinator for two years and as an intern with the Marietta Memorial Hospital Health Foundation.
Foraker, who graduated in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in public relations and advertising, was extremely active during her four years on Marietta's campus. She was a member of the Marietta crew, a student assistant in the Advancement Office, an advertising sales representative for the student newspaper and an orientation leader for both international students and the McDonough Leadership Program.
Foraker also earned a Master of Corporate Media from Marietta in 2005. She resides in Marietta.

Mr. Perry, who has nearly 20 years of marketing and journalism experience, is Marietta's Director of College Relations, a position he has held since January of 2003.
In that role he works to advance College goals, promote and enhance the image and visibility of the College, and to provide marketing, public relations, media and publications support for all Marietta College offices, departments, programs and services. Mr. Perry is also a integral part of the College's integrated marketing initiative.
He is also an editor and writer for the College's award-winning magazine, Marietta, The Magazine of Marietta College. Mr. Perry is part of a team that won a Gold Medal in the 2008 CASE Circle of Excellence Awards for Magazine Publishing Improvement.
As an instructor, he has taught Writing for the Media, Sports Marketing, Sports Writing, Editing and Corporate Communication.
Mr. Perry previously worked at Marietta College as Sports Information Director from 1996-99. His other experience includes City Editor at both the Zanesville Times Recorder (2001-03) and The Marietta Times (1999-2001), Sports Editor at The Times (1993-96), Sports Reporter at The Times (1992-93), and as a freelance reporter for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel (1989-92) and The Miami Herald (1987-88). He has won numerous awards from The Associated Press and Gannett Corp., for his work at The Times and Times Recorder. He was also part of 10 CoSIDA awards during his three years as Marietta's SID.
He and his wife, Traci, reside in Belpre, Ohio, with their daughter, Taylor, and son, Will.

Mr. Zundell, who has more than a decade of graphic design experience, has worked as Marietta College's Art Director since 1997. He has won numerous awards from CoSIDA for his design work on athletic posters and media guides.

Mr. Craig joined Marietta College in June 2008 as the Webmaster. As Director of Web Services he works in the department of College Relations, and is the main contact for all questions and concerns related to the College’s Web site. He is also available to assist with redesigns for any departmental or student organization Web pages.
Prior to joining College Relations, Mr. Craig lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he worked in a number of industries including music, marketing & public relations, technology, non-profit, publishing and education. Some of the companies he has worked for include Sega video games, SonicNet.com, an online music magazine, Round1 USA, a venture capital portal, and Fritz Institute, a non-profit dedicated to improving the efficiency of humanitarian relief delivery.
A 1997 graduate of Marietta College with Bachelor's degrees in both English and Music, Craig is also an accomplished musician and writer, performing regularly in the Marietta/Parkersburg area and contributing occasional articles to Guitar Player and Bass Player magazines.
He and his family now reside in Marietta, Ohio.

Ms. Smith joined College Relations in June 2007. Her work emphasis will be on the bi-annual Trailblazer newsletters and the bi-annual publication Marietta: The Magazine of Marietta College.
Working most recently as the editor for Buckeye Family Magazine, a publication that circulates throughout central Ohio, Gi is an experienced budget creator, editor and feature writer.
She has also worked as a newspaper feature writer and a public safety reporter for the Times Recorder in Zanesville, the Coshocton Tribune in Coshocton and The Marietta Times.
She is a graduate of Ohio University and resides in Marietta with her husband and two daughters.
Jeff Moyers

Adeline Bailey

Mrs. Bailey, who spent most of her professional life as a public school teacher, joined College Relations as a writer in September 2000.
In early 2007 she transitioned into a new role as the publications coordinator. She is the main contact for establishing new print jobs, working with off-campus vendors and coordinating with clients through the approval process.
She holds a bachelor's degree from Ohio University. Mrs. Bailey and her husband, Mike, reside in Marietta.
