Tuition and fees are due in full by the due date. An account is considered delinquent if the full payment due is not received and posted to your account by 4:00 p.m. on the payment due date listed on the statement. Please be advised that failure to read mail, e-mail, or view online activity does not relieve a student of the responsibility to make on-time payments in the correct amount.
Students making payments after the initial due date are subject to a late payment fee of $150. All miscellaneous charges are due on the dates specified on the monthly billing statements. Tuition and fees for ALL students, including those participating in a payment plan, become an obligation for the term in question between the student and Marietta College.
Payments can be made online using Mastercard, Visa, Discover, or electronic check via the eBill system. When mailing payment please allow at least five (5) days for mail delivery. International, APO, and FPO mailings should allow longer time for delivery.
The finance charge for late payment is a 1.5% monthly rate charged on all balances not paid by the payment due date shown on each billing statement. Each semester's charges must be paid in full prior to registration for the next term. Participants in the TMS Payment Plan are not exempt.
Financial Holds
Business Office Holds are put onto accounts that have an outstanding balance. The College will not issue transcripts until the student satisfies all financial obligations to the College. The College will withhold permission to register for subsequent semesters for any student with financial obligations to the College.
Those accounts that are not paid by the due date will be subject to finance charges, late fees and create sufficient cause for Marietta College to:
- Involuntarily withdraw the student from a class or classes;
- Withhold diploma, scholastic certificate, or transcripts;
- Bar student from College Housing;
- Prevent registration for the next semester;
- Suspend college services & privileges;
- Assign account to a collection agency;
- Report student as delinquent to a credit bureau.
Marietta College may take any or all of these actions at its option.
