Join us in the Anderson Hancock Planetarium for the full-dome video “Dark Side of Light,” at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 16. The evening will include a live star talk, a full-dome video, and a Q&A period. You’re likely familiar with many ways artificial light improves our safety and quality of life. The video “Dark Side of Light” shares information about how these human-made light sources adversely affect living creatures. The narrator goes on to convey some steps that can be taken to optimize our use of lights while minimizing unwanted effects. Educational experiences in the Anderson Hancock Planetarium are free and open to the public with first-come, first-served seating.
