Biography

Dr. John Tynan, who has won a number of teaching awards since joining Marietta College's Department of Mathematics & Information Systems, was promoted to full professor in 2014. Professor Tynan earned the Outstanding Faculty Award in 2006 and the Douglas Putnam Service Award in 2012.

He has served as chair of the department since 2011 and was also the College's Registrar from 2007-10. Dr. Tynan is currently the Faculty Athletics Representative to the NCAA.
