An instructor in Media Studies, Lori Smith advises the advertising staff of the Marcolian, as well as the college chapters of Omicron Chi Theta and the American Advertising Federation. Smith is the grant coordinator for WMRT/WCMO, securing underwriting grants from community organizations to help fund programming.
Smith worked for The Marietta Times in advertising and was later the advertising director for The Times. While working for the Gannett Company, Inc., she won the President's Certificate of Achievement, a Top 10 Gannett manager award. She also worked as a Commercial Printing Consultant for The Marietta Times and The Huntington Herald-Dispatch. Smith graduated cum laude from Ohio University with a degree in journalism and her M.A. is from Marietta College.
